New Film on Beloved Star’s Life & his Battle with Alzheimer's Disease
LOS ANGELES, April 18, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- "Gene Wilder, a prolific actor and screenwriter best known for such classic films: Young Frankenstein, The Producers, Blazing Saddles and Willy Wonka & The Chocolate Factory, will be remembered in this new documentary called, 'Remembering Gene Wilder': His Life, Legacy and Battle with Alzheimer’s Disease," stated the films producers, Julie Nimoy & David Knight.
“I am very excited to support that Leonard Nimoy’s daughter and son-in-law, Julie Nimoy and David Knight, will be producing a new documentary film honoring my beloved late husband Gene Wilder. The documentary will share personal stories from his life, career and his battle with Alzheimer’s Disease,” says Gene’s widow, Karen Boyer Wilder.
"My father loved Gene! Not only did he direct him in the 1990 film, 'Funny About Love,' but they remained very close friends for many years. David and I are so honored and thrilled to be able to tell Gene's personal story," stated producer Julie Nimoy.
