March is #ChildrensWishMonth - Help Grant More Heartfelt Wishes
Donate today at ChildrensWish.ca/WishMonth
TORONTO, Feb. 28, 2019 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Children’s Wish Foundation of Canada, the largest and only all-Canadian wish-granting charity, is kicking off #ChildrensWishMonth with activities planned nationally beginning March 1st. #ChildrensWishMonth is dedicated to celebrating the joy that children, diagnosed with a life-threatening illness or a severe genetic or neurological condition, feel when their wish is granted. Canadians can participate in #ChildrensWishMonth events in cities across the country and help make heartfelt wishes come true by donating today at childrenswish.ca/wishmonth.
“For more than 34 years, with the support of Canadians from coast to coast, we’ve been able to grant over 25,000 wishes to children that have been diagnosed with a life-threatening illness - but there are still more wishes to be granted,” said Chris Kotsopoulos, CEO, Children’s Wish Foundation of Canada. “Having a heartfelt wish to look forward to gives children, and their families, strength to endure treatments, helps to raise spirits, and lets children be children again. The positive effects of a wish extend far beyond the child to the broader community. This March we ask Canadians to donate at childrenswish.ca/wishmonth so that together, we can make more wishes come true.”
