MyVii Foundation Releases new STD awareness campaign “Spread the AFFECTION not the INFECTION”

26-03-2018

TORONTO, March 26, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- MyVii Foundation (Non-Profit) On February 13th of this year, Maren Melnick discovered that several of her friends were recently diagnosed with an STD. That same day she learned that Feb 13th is also considered International Condom Day. Motivated by this coincidence and distressed by the record high rates of STIs, Maren asks; “Can we do something to help? YES we can. As a woman, I know I can. I buy my own condoms and I make sure my partner puts it on. Now, I want to help others make that decision too.”

About MyVii Foundation: Maren created MyVii in response to the skyrocketing rates of STDs. A Fundrazr (crowdsourcing site) page was created to raise funds for Maren’s campaign to promote Safe Sex Awareness in fun and creative ways while encouraging people to use condoms. A T-Shirt, she designed, available on the Fundrazr page, is modelled by Maren in a few sexually suggestive poses. She is calling for others to post their sexy pics to social media, support the campaign and use the Hashtag:

                                          #wantmyVwrapyourD

“# want my V wrap your D is a challenge to empower women to protect themselves and their partners from Sexually Transmitted Diseases”

Maren Melnick Bio: Maren was born and raised in Toronto to parents Wendy and David Melnick. She is a mix of Malaysian (Penang) Chinese, Montreal (Mile End) Jewish and French (Saguenay–Lac-Saint-Jean) Canadian ancestry. Maren is currently working on a Communications degree at Ryerson University.
